Car Audio Installation

Now you have bought the "best-est" for your car audio system, does this automatically translate to a great car audio experience? Nearly so. Why nearly so?

I'll use an analogy...

If you bought the best paint brushes and paints -- I mean those used by the masters -- would that guarantee the best painting? Would it even guarantee a good painting?

We both know the answer. Yes, you need the best equipment to get the best sound. However, you need a level of expertise to achieve the best and maximize the potentials of your equipment.

In fact, the more sophisticated and high-end your car audio equipment is, the more you need an expert. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, then you really have to study the steps and process thoroughly.

Why do I recommend you call an expert in spite of the fact that I have many installation articles on our car audio sites (This means that we encourage folks to learn to fit their stuff)?

I recommend an expert for the simple reason that a professional installer does this 9-5 daily and has been doing stuff like this for some years. He is certainly more exposed to techniques for getting the best out of any car audio equipment.

If you've spent some good amount on your car audio system, the extra installation fee is well worth it. Furthermore, since many installers are just a phone call away, you don't have to waste the whole day at a shop to have this done. Yes, many installers will come to wherever you are to get the job done.

That said, you can still go on to install yourself. After all, you know your personal technical capabilities. And you could also use the change, I guess.

High End Speakers

My friends all make fun of me for the amount of audio equipment that I own. Not only do I have the latest in surround sound receivers, but I have high end speakers that will just blow your mind. The sound is positively unreal! All my friends laugh at me – they think that it is a waste to have such high end audio speakers. You see, all of us have the same taste in music. We all like punk rock, metal, hard-core, and basically anything that is loud and raucous. Why get high end stereo speakers, they ask, when you are listening to music that is often heavily distorted? Maybe I sound like a snob here, but I do not think that my friends understand the sophistication of the tunes that we are listening to. Just because it is punk rock, or metal, does not mean that it is noise. On the contrary, there is a great deal of subtlety and nuance in the tone that only good audio speakers can pick up.

Of course, it matters less with some of the music. The garage punk that I was into, for example, sounds about the same through high end speakers as it does through low end speakers. The sound is generally muffled, poorly recorded, and made on substandard equipment. As a result, no matter how lousy the speakers you use, it really will not make much of a difference in the way that it comes through. For that stuff their right – high end speakers really are a waste.

But for a lot of the metal, and even some of the more innovative and experimental punk rock, the high end speakers are really crucial. Just because a type of music is noisy this not mean that it does not have a wide range of sounds. High end speakers can capture all of the sound to the music, from the screeching highs to the booming lows, and everything in between. Without using a good high end speaker, so much of the sound is lost, and that is a shame. My high end speakers allow me to hear sounds that I've never heard before, and that I would not hear without them. It is my friends who are the snobs – low fidelity snobs. To them it seems like it all sounds the same. It is unfortunate that they will miss out on all the sonic nuances that I get to hear. But that's the breaks!

Car Audio Equipment

A lot of People lose their car audio equipment to thieving rats. This can be easily prevented or reduced if you'll do the following...

1) Get a good car security system. And when you do, make sure you activate it always. A lot of people are funny. They'll buy a good car security system but will often forget to use it.

2) Buy car audio units that have theft-deterrence systems. These come in different designs. There is certainly one out there that will suit your taste.

3) Pack your car in well-lit areas.

4) Avoid flashy stickers. They attract attention. You don't want to give thieves such "steal me" signals.

5) Remember to lock your car always.

6) While installing your car audio equipment, try to use screws that have uncommon heads. If you use standard screws, you make it easy for thieves. If you use, say, a hex-head, you make it much more difficult for thieves for the simple reason that they're less likely to have such bits.

7) In spite of all these you may still lose your stuff. That's why you need to get a car insurance policy that also takes care of your car audio equipment completely. It's not just about getting a comprehensive plan. How comprehensive is your comprehensive policy? Read the fine lines and make sure you are truly covered. It's painful to discover later that your comprehensive policy does not cover your custom stereo.

Before I drop my pen I think you should know that getting a policy that covers your car stereo completely doesn't necessarily mean you have to spend much more than otherwise. There is a process that guarantees massive savings in car insurance. If you employ it you can save up to $1000. All you'll then do is use part of it for a rider to cover your car audio equipment if your policy doesn't cater for it.

Buy Cheap DJ Equipment

The bass is pumping. The lights are flashing. The crowd is screaming. They just love what the DJ is playing. They are so into it. It's like a dream...

Have you ever been in a club and have wondered what it takes to be a great DJ? Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you were the DJ the screaming crowd is feeding off of? The main things it takes to be a DJ is creativity and great DJ equipment!

You have to be born with creativity, but cheap DJ equipment can be bought! There are many places that will sell you very expensive DJ equipment, but if you look in the right places, you will be able to find great, cheap DJ equipment.

If you do want to pursue your dream and become a DJ, there are a few pieces of DJ audio equipment that you will need.

You might need a turntable and some speakers, but the main piece of equipment DJ's use is a computer.

With today's technology, you can control almost anything with your computer. From play lists to special audio effects, a computer can do it all. I strongly suggest a Macbook Pro. This computer is very powerful and can control everything you need.

You will probably need a special piece of software to control your sound. You will have to do some research to see what the best software available is for your computer.

Depending on where you are DJing, you might have to bring your own lighting system. These can be had for pretty cheap on eBay or Craigslist. Make sure you do your research before purchase any lighting equipment. Make sure you buy a quality brand, as unsafe lighting can be very dangerous. If you are lucky, though, the club you are DJing at will already have a lighting system.

If you are looking for cheap DJ equipment, you should first look on eBay and your local Craigslist page. There are usually many people there selling their slightly used DJ equipment. If you really want to save money and buy a cheap DJ system, you should buy it used. Brand new equipment is overpriced, and a slightly used piece of technology can be had for at least a 35% discount.

After you have all of your equipment, you should consider investing in a solid DJ equipment case. Not only will this keep your equipment safe, but it will save you time when unpacking and packing up your stuff for a gig. You also look more professional if you carry your DJ equipment in a case.

If you look hard enough, you can find some great DJ systems that will allow you to go to a club and get a gig. You don't need to buy brand new equipment and spend your whole life savings on this equipment. You just have to look in the right places at the right times and you will be able to find all the cheap DJ equipment you will need.

Good Deal Of Care For Used Audio Equipments

I used to think that owning my own sound studio was beyond me. I have always been a musician, and I also am a big fan of music. I have many friends who play music as well, and have often worked with them to help the master their recordings. The problem is that new audio equipment is so expensive nowadays. Every year, the price goes up. Paradoxically, however, used audio equipment is cheaper than ever. In the last few months, I finally realize my dream. I was able to set up a high end audio studio for less than 5000 dollars. I am happier than I ever have been before!

I actually would not have even investigated used audio equipment, had my car not been broken into. You see, at the time I didn't have money to replace the high end audio gear in my car. I had a great stereo system, as well as killer speakers. All of them were stolen when my car was busted into. I had to replace it all with used audio equipment. I thought I wouldn't be able to afford anything but the basics. As it turns out, however, used audio equipment was cheaper than I imagined. I was able to get all the car audio equipment that I needed for under 400 dollars. I actually have a system that is better than when I started!

I have been saving up money for some time, and when I fixed my car it made me think about using used audio equipment to build my own studio. Building your own studio is easier today than ever. If you have a good computer, you can use it to record on. The problem is that you need a lot of other high end equipment as well. You need microphones, mixers, preamps, amplifiers, and the rest. Fortunately, a good used audio equipment store will stock all of this. You can really find everything that you need.

When you are buying used audio equipment, however, you have to exercise a good deal of care. You see, some things last longer than others do. If you buy the wrong brands, you may get something that works well at first, but will not last. Even though you do save some money buying used audio equipment, you still will be spending enough that you want to be careful about your money. Otherwise, you could be out a lot of money.
